Dear SMI Members,
Welcome to our new website and the exciting new year ahead! I hope you have had a great summer, because we at SMI have been very, very busy coming up with new
ideas and projects for Studio Montclair.
I am thrilled and excited to be your new President and look forward to getting to know you and creating a dynamic art group with your help and ideas. The most wonderful change is the new exhibition space for the Virginia S. Block Gallery and SMI Gallery located at Academy Square, 33 Plymouth Street, Montclair, NJ. We are having a fabulous opening reception on Friday, September 24th. So mark your calendars and bring your friends.

There are lots of other plans in the works for SMI: such as a Friday night “Every Artist Has a Story” Sale at The Iris Gardens, Plein Aire meets and paints, “Paint the Town”, just to name a few ideas. If you can dream it, we can do it! We want to be the best Art Group for you our members! Come join us at the opening on September 24th and we will get to know each other!
