Studio Montclair (SMI) presents “Good Works,” an exhibition in recognition of SMI’s volunteers. The show will run from March 13 to April 10, 2026 at SMI’s Leach Gallery, 641 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair, NJ. An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 13 from 6:00-8:00pm.
Since its inception in 1997, Studio Montclair has depended upon the work of volunteers. They are the backbone of the organization and it thrives only due to their tireless efforts on its behalf. Volunteers hang the works in the exhibitions, paint the gallery after each show, organize the receptions, write press releases, service the website, maintain and post on social media, and photograph our events. Volunteers serve on the Board of Trustees, coordinate and facilitate the artist critique groups, provide oversight on all matters pertaining to Art and the artist members, and much more.
SMI is proud to acknowledge the artist members who volunteer by providing an exhibition to highlight their artwork. While this exhibition by artist members is a tribute to their works, their works on display are likewise a tribute to all of the people who donate their time and efforts to a greater good.
