A Social Media Contest
Studio Montclair invites members to submit line drawings for a coloring book-style postcard.

THE CONTEST

We will be selecting between three and six drawings that will be published as 4″x6″ “coloring book” postcards and used for promotional purposes at upcoming SMI events.

The selected artists will have a brief bio and their contact information on the cards. Images and contact information will be posted on our website, Facebook, and Instagram.

The first batch we print will be distributed as part of the Montclair Art Museum’s First Thursday Draw Along in May 2016.

CONTEST RULES

1. Send us your line drawings making sure to follow the entry specifications.
2. We will select a number of drawings best suited to our format and post them on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #SMIPOSTCARDFUN.
3. SMI members and our social media community will be asked to vote on their favorites by liking them on Instagram and Facebook.
4. The 6 drawings that accumulate the most likes will be printed up and used at the MAM Draw Along this May.

ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS

• Maximum of 3 images per person
• Art should be black and white line art, with enough negative space to promote coloring.
• Images of nudity, violence, or controversial imagery will not be eligible for this submission.
• Images must be tasteful and appeal to children and adults alike.
• Art should be proportioned to be digitally scaled to a 4″ by 6″ postcard with a 1/4″ bleed all around (to avoid cropping and distortion).
• Selected images should be scanned, or photographed with no glare or shadows.
• Selected images should be scanned at 300 to 600 dpi to avoid pixelation or distortion.

Submissions should include up to 3 jpeg images, a short bio of 140 characters or less, and your social media information which may include a Facebook link, Instagram handle, website URL, and Twitter handle.

Studio Montclair reserves the right to use accepted work for documentation, website, publicity, social media, and/or catalog purposes. Entering your work in this contest constitutes your acceptance of these uses.
