This art collection reflects a mosaic of life, with each imperfect square of paint symbolizing our flawed actions. Together, they create a compelling picture, illustrating how our individual imperfections collectively yield a beautiful tapestry.

Window 2: Chanda Hall
Chanda is a self-taught photographer living in Montclair, shooting mostly on the streets of New York City. Photography is her way of paying close attention to the world around her, and the impulse to share what she sees is at the heart of her work. Focusing on moments that others might miss, on people that might get overlooked, she draws attention to the things that she finds beautiful, funny, evocative, poignant – in the hopes that the viewer will see them, too. It’s a way for her to connect to the world and to her viewers.
So often real life is better than fiction, and there are stories everywhere you look. With a background in filmmaking, Chanda is drawn to the cinematic, and loves elements of specificity that help create a story – setting, light, clothing, gestures, the relationship of figures to each other or their surroundings – with enough mystery to encourage the viewer to fill in the rest. She invites you to take in the beautiful mosaic of the street – and to participate in it.

Window 3: Lisa Marseglia-Moran
For as long as Lisa can remember, being an artist, creating art, collecting art and being an arts educator, have been an important parts of who she is. In 2021, after 30 years as an art teacher in Paramus, NJ, she left education to pursue a full-time career as an artist. Lisa has since been exhibiting regularly throughout New Jersey and New York.
Since the earliest days of her artistic career, she has been most inspired by the beauty that exists in nature. Working in oils, watercolor, pen and ink and mixed media, much of Lisa’s work is an expression of the energy of the earth and the idea that all living things are connected.
In the mid 90s, the artist began creating a style of mixed media works on woven paper. Beginning with two or more separate paintings and/or drawings, the works are then cut apart and woven together. Often, she continues painting and collaging upon the resulting weaving. Using a variety of media to combine multiple organic images has become a working metaphor. The finished works are representations of energy, movement, and unity. Most importantly, Lisa’s work represents our connection to each other and our earth.

Window 4: Stefania Caracciolo
Stefania Caracciolo is a self-taught artist from the Milan area in Italy, who moved to the US about 11 years ago. She started loving drawing at 6, then painting and practicing with charcoal in middle school until the age of 14, when she started dancing, and her focus changed. One year later, the loss of her mother to cancer, and then a binge eating disorder that made her reach almost 200 lbs, affected her dancer dreams and goals but got her eventually to her 20-year career as a fitness professional.
During those years she rarely got back to working on paper or canvas, but she had the most exciting experiences of her life traveling to NYC several times by herself, where she finally got to take dance classes in her dream school, and her interest in photography began. Stefania has been creating now since 2020, using and experimenting with different mediums.
Stefania’s artworks include nature photography, mixed media (acrylic and charcoal),acrylic and watercolor paintings, pencil drawings. Her many photography collections display her love for nature and the seasons. Except for her Black and White Shades collection, she uses minimal to no editing in her work.
For the Window at Studio Montclair, Stefania wanted to display the places that have most fascinated her in New Jersey, and she titled it “New Jersey in Black and White, from inland to shore”.
