SMI invites dynamic, experienced and creative teaching artists to apply for teaching positions in our community-based arts education program. We seek freelance teaching artists in all visual art disciplines to teach art classes and workshops to students of varying ages, interests and abilities, from pre-schoolers to seniors.
Each site-specific residency is unique and developed to meet the needs of the individual school or community partner. Classes generally range in length from 6-10 weeks, scheduled throughout the year, and are carefully planned by SMI program facilitator, the partner school or nonprofit and teaching artist.
