Studio Montclair announces “In Motion: Movement in Art,” a group exhibition on view from June 2 – 29, 2016. From abstract mark making to the representation of a body in action, the exhibition depicts movement in a variety of styles and media.
Studio Montclair led a Draw Along at the Montclair Art Museum. Attendees were encouraged to draw models as well as fun still lifes that SMI members put together. SMI members were available for drawing advice and consultation. We had a great turn out, thank you everyone for joining us!
On Monday, April 18, 2016 at 7pm at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Montclair, The SMI Programs Committee will be screening the movie “The Horse’s Mouth.”
A Social Media Contest: Studio Montclair invites members to submit line drawings for a coloring book-style postcard. We will be selecting between three and six drawings that will be published as 4″x6″ “coloring book” postcards and used for promotional purposes at upcoming SMI events. Submission Deadline is April 8.
