Studio Montclair (SMI) is delighted to present “Integrating Elsewhere,” a solo exhibition of sculpture and paintings by artist Wendy Letven. An opening reception will be held on Thursday January 15, from 6:00-8:00pm.
“Integrating Elsewhere” brings together paintings and sculptures formed through the mind’s eye—works that arise from inward perception rather than direct observation. Through color, rhythm, and an orchestrated fracturing of perception, Wendy Letven’s works pulse with energy, moving between cohesion and collapse. Chaos becomes harmony, dissonance becomes music. Fragmented forms, repeated motifs, and a personal iconography create structures that feel provisional and in flux, as if held only momentarily.
Viewers are invited into an elsewhere: a psychological and sensory space where contemporary experience is felt as ecstatic overwhelm—simultaneously immersive, unstable, and quietly reflective.
