JUROR BIO

Karen Wilkin is a curator and critic specializing in 20th century modernism. Educated at Barnard College and Columbia University, she was awarded a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship and a Fulbright Scholarship to Rome.  From 1971 through 1978, she was Chief Curator of the Art Gallery of Alberta, Canada.  She is the author of monographs on Stuart Davis, David Smith, Kenneth Noland, Helen Frankenthaler and George Braque, and has organized exhibitions and lectured on the work of these artists internationally.  Ms. Wilkin is Contributing Editor for Art for the Hudson Review and a regular contributor to The New Criterion and the Wall Street Journal.  Ms. Wilkin teaches the MFA program of the New York Studio School.
